升级到WordPress 2.5

今天，一进入管理后台就看见WordPress升级的提示。这个2.5版原本计划更早一些推出的，但由于开发进度的问题跳了票，中间还推出过RC版，现在终于问世了。

一直以来，我都在用WordPress Automatic Upgrade（WPAU)这个插件，升级了几个版本都没出过什么问题。动手升级WP之前，我发现WPAU也有个升级提示，所以先对它进行升级，结果误打误撞，避过了插件的旧版本在升级WP 2.5时的小bug。使用WPAU升级的过程非常顺利，只是在提示升级数据库时，它给出了错误的链接。我的WP安装在 http://tuxfans.com/blog 目录下，但WPAU给出的路径里面就少了那个blog，需要自己手动补上。这个bug旧版本里面也存在，可能没什么人去报告，给带到新版本了。

WP 2.5后台管理界面的变化比较大，需要有个适应过程。最让我高兴的是看到它增加了插件自动更新的功能，这样我就不必单独安装一个用于自动更新插件的PlugInstaller插件了。

    Dear Windrose, I found you through reading KK.org’s Better Than Free. I think you’re very knowledgeble on wordpress. I have a problem that maybe you can help me. I have a wordpress blog (English verysion) which contains both English and Chinese (Traditional Chinese) content. I exported the content into XML and import the file into my self-hosting blog, powered by wordpress, but the chinese characters came out all garbled. Do you know how I can resolve this problem?
